Technics 1200 – Death of an Era

Today marks a sad day in hip-hop history.  According to a press release made by Panasonic, production of it’s fabled Technics 1200 turntable has ended.  The Technics 1200 has always been and will remain a staple of hip-hop culture.  A table embraced by producers, DJ’s, turntablists and vinyl lovers alike, today the Technics 1200 makes its exit.

    Technology has killed Technics. Cant fight it. Every DJ has a laptop now.

    Now it just means anyone that can really use it has a back in the day story to tell now…oh and now you are officially a VET and you deserve respect from all these laptop DJ’s that have no real skill..(“MY OPINION THAT I AM ENTITLED TO”)…. All my real DJ’s out there your jersey number 1200 has retired no thanks to evolution…wow with this computer s#i! none of our children nor our children’s children will have any real skills or imagination, just a bunch of point and clickers! NO THINKING REQUIRED……SM*H
