The sloping headboard of the Wave Bed smoothly transitions to the bed frame creating a comfortable angle for propping up for late night reading. This super sleek modern bed also features optional cantilevered bedside tables that seemingly float thanks to a clear C shaped methacrylate panel underneath each. The bed frame also takes on the same floating appearance with help from recessed legs that support a system of orthopedic wood slats. It’s not quite the BlackBerry that T-Mobile customers have been expecting, but the Curve 8520 dons the first optical trackpad on a BlackBerry and that has to count for something, right? With dedicated media buttons gracing the top of the 8520 and “out of the box” Mac compatibility we’ll forgive the fact that it still doesn’t run on T-Mobile’s super-fast 3G network. The latest Curve also features, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2-megapixel camera and it comes with a 1GB microSD memory card.

Due out on August 5 for $130 in black and frost.

Strangely, airlines and airplanes and air travel continue to still look pretty much the same, no matter which airline you fly. In fact, most of us would say that the in-flight experience is getting worse each day. Premium-class prices warrant a slightly more tolerable experience, but it is still tough to really tell one experience from the other.

An airplane is of course transportation, and not a hotel, spa or restaurant, but we have been waiting for a long time for the first airline that is willing to embark on true differentiation. Taking cues from cool architecture, leading-edge design and the vibes we see ahead of, and outside of, trends, The Coolhunter is now working on creating truly cool airline experiences, giving premium-class passengers a real reason to select one airline over another.

Absolutely everything— from the on-board entertainment, furnishings and decor, to exclusive on-board shopping — will be curated by TCH. Rather than being mundane, boring and almost same as all other airlines, the TCH-curated in-flight experience will be really something worth talking about. Desire to Inspire points us to the photographic works of Jackie Caradonio. As one of her projects, Caradonio was able to photograph the interiors of this great Brooklyn loft space owned by a French bachelor who owns several US art galleries. This male dream pad is complete with cars, masculine art depicting dogs, a blue kitchen space, an exposed brick bedroom, and more. Looking more like a fancy car showroom, than a home, we can’t help but feel that this home has its very own personality. The different uses of colors for different rooms really complements the cars in the space, as well as the many types of art displayed through the entire home. This is one special home for the quintessential art and design minded guy.

Design student Iulian Bumbu is either a genius or a complete madman. Coming on the heels of his Lamborghini Insecta Concept is this stunning BMW S.X Concept car. Bumbu seems to be prodding the execs in Munich to finally produce the supercoupe that they have been tiptoeing around since the debut of the M1 Homage Concept in 2008. Taking design cues from the Aston Martin One-77 and Fisker Karma, the S.X looks sleek and powerful, while still incorporating BMW’s trademark kidney grille and tweaked headlights that look borrowed from their earlier CS Concept. The best choice of engine would most likely be a derivative of their twin-turbo V8, which has taken well to power increases and will source the upcoming M-variants of the X5 and X6.

The car boasts carefully engineered aerodynamics and the lowest emissions and fuel consumption in its class. The 458 is powered by a 4.5 liter, 562 horsepower mid-engine V8 which powers the car to a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of over 200 mph.
