For the last 10 years, the supercar known as PAGANI Zonda only appeared only in 2 forms – garage trophy of Wall Street bankers gambling on mortgage securities and nocturnal emissions of car enthusiasts. Now comes confirmation that its successor, the PAGANI Huayra, will be available in the U.S. later this year, a first for the auto maker.

Named after the God of Wind, Huayra Tata, a calm figure with mercurial temper when astir. Similarly, the Huayra by PAGANI Automobili is one of refinement with only subtle hint of speed. That is till you awaken its powerplant, a Mercedes-Benz AMG produced twin turbo V12, able to generate 700+ horsepower and 730 pound-feet of torque. Second to the PAGANI line, the vehicle could churn up roadways at 230 mph with air breaks to assist in stopping.  Gull wing entries unveil a well appointed cockpit wrapped with the finest leather seats, steering column, dashboard, and more. Control gauges and information hub are in polished chrome with hint of carbon fiber application. In a release statement, founder Horacio Pagani stated “This automobile is the result of five years of dedicated effort from the Pagani team and we see this as an unprecedented opportunity to continue expanding our vision of the future for the supercar industry.” Details in regard to set launch dates and dealerships will be available in the coming weeks.

Zondas successor, the new supercar from Italo-Argentinian designer Horacio Pagani is the stunning Pagani C9 Huayra. Equipped with a biturbo V12 engine provided by AMG, the Huayra has 700 hp and 737lb ft of torque, Mercedes-Benz “provided” another cool detail to Pagani, the gull-wing-inspired doors by the now rival SLS.

The BMW Nazca C2 is one of those iconic sportscars that was built to perfection. The Italdesign auto gets the homage treatment by Sabino Design in this sleek and powerful concept rendering. If it were built for today’s high quality standards, Sabino Design has it at 4400mm long, 1990mm wide and 1110mm high with a 2710mm wheelbase. A luxurious interior is of course implemented for that true BMW experience that’s unmatched.

We’ve heard about Ralph Lauren’s extensive car collection but have never really seen it in its full glory. Vanity Fair did a great job writing about Uncle Ralph’s range of Ferraris, Vintage Bugattis, Mercedes-Benzs, Alfa Romeos and more. The cars are displayed in museum style in his garage called the D.A.D., the initials standing for Mr. Lauren’s children – David, Andrew, and Dylan. The collection is somewhat comparable to the Barnes collection of paintings in Merion, Pennsylvania. The collective of cars are grand, rare, and highly coveted. It’s something that the whole world should see, but is kept under Ralph Lauren’s privacy. Thanks to Vanity Fair writer Paul Goldberger and Photographer Todd Eberle, we now get a good sense of one of the most iconic clothes designer’s collection of rare cars.
