As far as we can tell, the look and feel of the standard street bike is going to change drastically between now, and five years from now. With each and every concept we see make its way to the public eye, they get more extravagant, and feature-enabled. This time around, the Ostoure street bike, which takes quite a few aesthetic approaches from sources like Persepolis, along with plenty of one-eyed robotic fictional characters out there. Aircraft elements make a play for exposure here, too, with those handlebars looking more like jet fighter controls than anything else. But, most importantly, that Heads-Up Display. The HUD is actually integrated with the helmet, which will give you an in-depth read-out of what’s going on with your bike. You’ll get real-time access to your fuel level, speed, as well as RPMs. The screen is right on the visor of the helmet.

The motorcycling world loves a ‘barn find’—an old, obscure machine wheeled out of the woodwork for the first time. And this is one of the biggest revelations of recent months…the 1930 Henderson. Henderson was a Chicago brand and one of the American ‘Big Three’ (with Harley-Davidson and Indian) until the onset of the Great Depression. This bike was customized before WW2 by a fellow called O. Ray Courtney and fitted with ‘streamliner’ bodywork. It’s all the more unusual because the mechanicals are hidden: even at the height of the Art Deco movement, most motorcycles were a triumph of form over function, with exposed cooling fins, brake drums and suspension springs. The bike is owned by collector Frank Westfall of Syracuse. It caused a stir in June 2010 when it appeared at the Rhinebeck Grand National Meet, a motorcycle show held a couple of hours drive north of NYC.

Check out more photos of the 1930 Henderson (courtesy of Grail Mortillaro) after the jump.

From the makers of the Custom Batpod comes the latest movie-inspired motorbike: the Tron Legacy Lightcycle ($35,000). While the movie doesn’t hit theaters until December, anyone who saw the original knows the lightcycle races will be the highlight of the film, making the five Lightcycles instant classics. Unlike the Batpod, these are built to be street-legal, with custom 22-inch hubless wheels, custom Hoosier tires, electric or gasoline motors, two-inch hardened steel frames, carbon fiber/fiberglass bodies, and neon hidden behind frosted plexiglass for the accent colors.

You are looking at the motorcycle equivalent of the Bugatti Veyron, a 211 mile per hour monster that as of now has the title of the most powerful production bike on the road. And in case you’re not brave enough to sit on what is essentially a land based cruise missle, there will also be 170 and 184 hp versions which lack the supercharger of the range topping model.
