We were excited to see the Peugeot SR1 come quickly to fruition, as it promises to be a dynamic vehicle. As its debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show approaches, we are learning more details about the SR1 that make it even more endearing. It seems that renowned Swiss watchmaker Bell & Ross has contributed a significant design to the vehicle that will come in the form of a special-edition timepiece. While we find analog clocks very striking in most upscale luxury cars, it is rarely fitting that anyone would consider having a similar design strapped to their wrist for an extended period of time. Bell & Ross has set out to change that mentality, and in doing so has created an integrable watch that is multifunctional and unique. Look for the SR1 and its stunning dashboard watch to debut in Geneva next month.

From Cottam Hargrave: This family-centered 3800sf residence is located on five acres in the West Lake Hills area of Austin. The building site is located over 500’ into the property, enhancing both privacy and sight lines. Because of the steep slope and the desire to minimize level changes within the house, linearity dominates, dictating the structure to follow a limestone ledge on the property. This linear arrangement along the ledge forces the garage to be a part of the entry sequence, which indirectly becomes the icon of the house. On the adjacent facades, two very long and overlapping shed roofs further differentiate the form.

Star Wars changed the world forever when it hit the big screen in 1977. In a series of photographs called “The Dark Lens,” photographer, Cédric Delsaux, captures the characters in an apocalyptic world transformed by war. When first looking at these photographs, one wonders, is this our world we’re looking at it, or theirs? C3PO is stranded in a field of alien machinery in what looks to be an old parking garage. Silver androids with arched swan necks, armed by machine guns line up against what could be this years’ newest Chevy truck, while R2D2 stands alone with what looks like a disassembled helicopter in an abandoned repair shop. There is an obvious devastation on whatever planet they may be on. The world seems to be vacant of any human life. Delsaux’s photos create an interesting dilemma for the fan by placing the beloved characters in an unknown world with unknown tragedy. Will they try to leave or attempt to start over? Will they have their own race wars to determine who’s in charge? Will Darth Vader be President!? One can only hope.

Footnote: All these photos were shot at a Star Wars amusement park in Dubai!

A bit of color has gone missing in the Marc by Marc Jacobs line this Fall/Winter for the men’s range compared to last season. What it lacks in color however, makes up for in an array of versatile looks. Olive green garb is presented as more of a militaristic addition to the collection, while blue and black gets a bit more of a formal treatment as suits and blazers. Black and white also appear in the collection to balance out the entire range with items such as trousers, flight suits, and outerwear.

According to Keegan, much of the inspiration for the line came from the film, “An Officer and a Gentleman.” Like Richard Gere’s character in the movie, outfits that reflect Navy life is present in the range but with a more contemporary twist.
